Soundproofing has been greatly enhanced by the introduction of Phonewell® sound insulation, which is distributed by Acara Concepts Ltd throughout Ireland and the UK. Phonewell® acoustic insulation board makes sound proofing very easy due to its simple installation, very slim 15mm thickness and excellent sound insulation properties. Phonewell® is a natural, sustainable, breathable, pollutant-free sound proofing board and it can be recycled or composted after its useful life.
This very versatile noise reduction product is excellent at reducing both airborne sound and impact sound, and it can be used for soundproofing walls, floors and ceilings. Phonewell® has been UKAS accredited and it complies with Building Regulations for Sound, Document E. The structure can be made from timber, steel or solid substrates and it is perfect for soundproofing new build, renovation or remedial projects.
Phonewell® is an ideal sound insulation product for both domestic and commercial soundproofing projects. At home, undue stress can be created from noisy neighbours, noisy children running around, home entertainment surround sound systems, water pumps or road traffic, so Phonewell® sound insulation is a great solution to achieve noise reduction.
Phonewell® works very well with underfloor heating, and adds thermal mass to lightweight structures. It is quick to install and because it is so slim, a whole course of blockwork and associated materials can be saved on each floor, when used as floor acoustic insulation in new build. When used as sound proofing on walls it only takes 15mm valuable space out of a room. Phonewell® boards measure 1200 x 800mm so are an ideal size to work with.
