Phonewell®
Phonewell® is an ecological board to be used on floors, walls and ceilings, resulting in an excellent reduction in airborne and impact sound. These acoustic insulation boards are suitable for new builds and renovations, and are ideal for both commercial and residential properties. The boards are very easy to fit and cut, and because the depth is only 15mm, they take very little precious space out of a room. They measure 1070 x 800mm. Phonewell ® is pollutant free and odourless - an all round eco-friendly product!
Phonewell® exceeds Building Regulations for Sound in Ireland and the UK. This German patented product reduces IMPACT SOUND by 8-12dB, which equates to a 50% noise reduction. AIRBORNE SOUND is improved by 15dB which equates to a 75% improvement. If necessary, even better results can be achieved by using 2 layers of Phonewell ® boards.
Phonewell® consists of biologically pure quartz sand held in a body made of corrugated cardboard. According to established principles of physics, only a heavy compound in loose form, combined with a soft filling material, can achieve high sound proofing and heat insulation, which creates a cosy living environment. This patented combination is the basis for previously unknown levels of comfort in living and working areas. Sound is extremely well proofed, and heat is stored and evenly distributed across the whole surface.
Because of its innovative characteristics, the Phonewell® concept has been recognized with the Most Innovative Construction Product Award in Germany in 2007.
